The Centenario Coupe blew attendees at the 2016 Geneva Auto
show. The model was created to celebrate the company’s founder,
Ferruccio Lamborghini 100th birthday if he was still
alive. The automaker is following up the Coupe with a
Roadster version as we all expected following the automaker’s
announcement in Geneva that only 40 units of the Centenario
would be built split into 20 Coupes and 20 Roadsters. The
2017 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster was introduced at the
Monterey Car Week. The Centenario is a good response from
Lamborghini in the design sector after Koenigsegg
and Pagani had
overtaken this exclusive segment by storm in recent past.

Minus the roof, the Centenario Roadster is almost identical to
the Coupe. At the front, the Roadster features an identical
front fascia which is just as aggressive as that of the Coupe.
It features a vented hood and LED headlight strips which
combine with other features to give the model a stunning design
that impressed everyone when the Coupe debuted at Geneva
earlier in the year. On the sides, the vehicle features
identical side skirts and rear intakes. However, behind the
door glass the automaker has altered the upper vent such that
it is now integrated into the roll bars that protrude behind

It features the same tall spoiler as well as thin, arrow-shaped
LED tail lamps. The model doesn’t have a roof, as there is no
storage space for the roof.

Except for a slight color change, the cabin is identical to the
coupe. However, buyers have an option to order a cabin
customized to their tastes (benefits that come with paying top

Absence of a retractable roof however means you cannot take out
your Centenario when the weather looks unpredictable. The cabin
accommodates two passengers on its two seats which are wrapped
in light brown Alcantara Terra di California. The seats also
feature Bianco Polar leather inserts. These can be
customized via the automaker’s Ad Personam program.
The steering wheel, door inserts, dashboard and the A-pillars
also feature an Alcantara trim. Other surfaces are covered with
glossed-over carbon fiber. Customers can choose a different
contrast stitching color unlike in the coupe which featured a
yellow contrast stitching. Other standard features on the
Roadster include a 10.1-inch high-definition touch-screen from
which the driver can control the model’s satellite navigation
system and other on-board telemetry. The car also features
Wi-Fi connectivity and Smartphone integration which integrates
various apps including Apple CarPlay.
Engine Specs and performance
Like the coupe, the Centenario Roadster is powered by a
naturally aspirated V-12 power-plant. The 6.5 L monster pumps
out 759 horses. The engine mates to a 7-speed dual-clutch
transmission system that drives the rear wheels.
Despite the model weighing 110 pounds heavier than the coupe,
it still manages to make a 0-60 mph run in 2.9 seconds, just a
tenth of a second slower than its coupe sister. The
Roadster can achieve a top speed of 217 mph.
The model features Lamborghini’s trick tri-mode rear-wheel
steering which combine with the car’s magneto rheological
suspension and the automakers Dynamic Steering to improve the
Roadster’s responsiveness. Stopping power comes from gigantic
carbon-ceramic brakes which bring the beast to a halt in 102

Lamborghini will produce only 20 units of the 2017 Lamborghini
Centenario Roadster just like the Centenario Coupe. According
